Stewart Shankman, Ph.D, is a clinical psychologist and psychopathology researcher interested in integrating traditional clinical approaches with neuroscience and neuropsychological methods. He has used both approaches primarily to explore the classification, nature and course of depression. Dr. Shankman has a particular interest in understanding the relation between depressive and anxiety disorders.
Dr. Shankman's clinical interests include the treatment of major depression through the use of empirically supported treatments (EST). He is currently a clinical supervisor in the UIC psychology department's in-house psychological clinic (OAPS).
